Maybe it's just the angle on the picture...
but it looks like that thing would tip over on you
if you started playing hard.
I don't see anything wrong with selling plans if they
are REALLY GOOD and designed by you personally.
But I wouldn't do it.

Hey, at least he's not selling roms... :P Anyone who would buy this is a fool. If you can't even figure out to search for this info on the web, you deserve to be ripped off. ::)
Hell, my whole intro to Mame and BYOAC began on a boring afternoon at work, whilst searching the web for a way to play Pac-Man on my PC! ;D

Unfortunately the people who buy plans off of ebay aren't the smartest tools in the drawer. What's sad though is some rather mentally challenged person might buy that and get turned off to the whole build your own cab thing.

One of the managers at work, crushed their palm pilot and cracked the screen. I had to order a new one for them....the thing still worked somewhat, and I was bored and messing around downloading software into it.... I found a version of Galaga for the Palm Pilot, was playing that for a bit, than my friend at work mentioned he knew a friend that had an arcade emulator, so I started searching the net. I found "Raine" and struggled to configure it without luck...than I found mame version .35 or .36 found the rom for Galaga and like everyone elses expeirnce the hair on the back of my neck stood up when I saw that here I was going to play the real Galaga on my PC.

Would you trust a guy's plans who did a manual quasi "mask"/cleanup in MS paint or something (look at the bottom picture)???
"dert maybe it'll look more professional if I white out the background of the same image I posted above.... uhurt..."
Well the only thing dumber than an ebay seller, selling something retard ( http://www.disturbingauctions.com (http://www.disturbingauctions.com) ) is the buyer who buys it... or the buyer who overpays for it...
-
btw, doesn't his plan look like it will fall over if you breath on it to hard?
The plans look, well... sucky.
But if you have plans that you spend enough time and energy in to make it worth money, then go for it. I wont buy it myself, but if you have the ultimate plans, or you can save time and money because you spent time and money, then go for it..... but remember something, you probably got your ideas from others around, make sure to give back to the community, or just give them out.

This guy posted in the mame newsgroups about a month ago. He stated this was a business idea and what people thought. He similarly got slammed in the newsgroup.
He admits it's not the best, but wanted to see if he could make money off selling the plans. That is all.

Many have tried to sell plans. But with very good free plans out there, you will only make money on people who don't search.
but I'm all for someone with plans that make it worth it. If you can save me time and money by using your plans over free ones. If you have images, step x step. Item lists (with partnumbers from major manufacturers). Ect.. Then it would be worth 20 bucks... .
But I can almost guarentee that it wont be worth your time... By the time you make a good enought set to sell... you've put more money that you will make back.
