can anyone shed some light on the wiring layout on the SANWA 5 pin joysticks?
I just bought 2 and noticed the difference in the wiring layout in comparision to the 8 wire sticks I have right now...
I need to know which pins are what direction, and in what deirection I should have the stick oriented!
thanks!!!

My guess is Up/Down/Left/Right & Gnd.

Do you have a pic? I've never heard of a Sanwa 5 pin stick before - is it a digital stick?

The Black Wire is the Ground. Just look at the circuit board and trace the line going from a pin to see which microswitch they go to. The lines on the circuit board are fairly big so this should be an easy task. If you don't have the 5 pin connector that Himura sells then just solder your wires to the microswitches directly like you would on any other joystick.

It doesn't matter which way you orient/mount the stick. Just use a multimeter on continuity test to see which pin goes to which direction after you mount it and wire accordingly.
