....I'm about to upgrade my Mame cab box from Win98 to Win2000 due to stability issues, among other things.
I dont want to have to re-program my 2 year old IPAQ if I dont have to, though I dont think I need to, since that all stays in the EEPROM on the Ipaq right?
Do I need to grab any of the CFG files from the HD before I go the route of updting the box?
All the hardware will remain the same except for the OS....
?????

Once the I-PAC is programmed, that's it. You shouldn't have to re-program or re-configure the I-PAC itself for an OS change.

Save any IPC files just in case, you never know when odd things can happen and the Ipac loses it's config. Copy the whole doggone folder just to be on the safe side. You can never have too many backups!
