Title: Problem with word-wrap in member comments!
Post by: RayB on December 06, 2004, 11:55:36 am
Hey Saint... There's a problem with the site now, where a member's "comment" does not word wrap sometimes. It causes the table cell width for the first column to go as wide as the comment.

I've changed my comment to the longest allowed length, just to test, but it's wrapping normally!

But look at Oznetradio's posts here:

The first 2 don't wrap, and then for whatever reason, the third post does, even though it's the same comment.  ???

It's the URLs.  They push out the boundaries, and they don't wrap.

I'm not seeing why this is a problem. On a 800x600 resolution, the entire thread is still visible.  Both IE and Mozilla/Firefox wrap correctly, but the URL will extend past the window.

I'm not sure why I see this as a problem. In fact, I'd rather have it not wrap so copy/paste of this won't introduce weird return characters when pasting into a browser.

That thread I linked to appears to be normal now.
