I am looking for a solution and have searched high and low... maybe someone here can help.
I want to play the same audio simultaneously on both receivers.
-
why not have the home theaters output plugged into the 'entire system' input?
But you should only have one item producing the music. syncing other then that would be hard.
-
I have thought of this. But, running line level outputs long distances is problematic. Not to mention pulling the cable. Leveraging my network seems easier. You may be right, this could be the only solution.

Wouldn't you just need another NetGear MP101 receiver for your other sound system?
In this setup, your PC is the server. So you don't need a separate "UPnP server".
*Edit*: Okay, I've been to NetGear's website and see the MP101. You wouldn't need another one of those, necessarily. You would need a box similar to that, but one that just receives the signal from the network, not one that allows you to choose songs like the MP101.
I'll do some hunting...

Unfortunately not. The MP101 grabs and plays music tracks from the server. Two MP101s would work asynchronously (from the same PC Server). I need the Home Theater receiver to play and broadcast to the Living Room receiver so it can play the same music at the same time.

Correct. That's what I said in the second part of my post. You need just a receiver for your other sound system.
*Edit*: If you plug your output from your MP101 into this:

You should be able to accomplish what you want to do.
