Title: dvd decoder boards???
Post by: stevejt on December 02, 2004, 11:38:08 pm
I am trying to put together some mame machines out of old parts.  I just found 2 dvd decoder boards that have a tv out.  If I remember correctly they only will only send a dvd video output to tv?  I never used the cards and have lost the manuals. Does any body know if these will output to tv all the time?  Also found an old canopus 3d with tv out.  Does any one know if it will output to tv when not using the 3d?  I did a google search on both, but found no useful information.

Any help would be appreciated.   Right now I am assuming they are all garbage...

Thanks!

Steve

If they are the Sigma designs Hollywood+ or Reel Magic cards then ya they only output DVD playback to the TV.

Hope this helps,

I appreciate all the replies.  I thought that's how they worked, but wasn't sure.  I just figured since I had them lying around, maybe I could use them.  They are Creative Encore 3's.

Thanks All!
