Hi all..
This isn't a FS: post as such, more to get a show of interested parties that may wish to
purchase...
pending the disgusting hack job I recieved on my panel when I bought my egret from arcadeinfinity, I had to look into custom building my own..
I have now designed and priced some LASER CUT, CHROME PLATED panel sets for the taito egret - the pricing varies depending how many I have made.
Right now if I get 3 made, it will cost $70 per set
However if I get more made, for example 8 of them, they will cost $40 per set.
If even more people are interested, they'd get even cheaper!
If anyone is interested, please PM me, so I can get a number of interested parties and an order number together.

as you can see from the image from my CAD software, they will have a 7 button layout , allowing easy play of either SNK fighters or CAPCOM 6 button fighters, either set em all up or plug one over.. each layout on either side is identical and is based upon the layout of the
NAMCO playstation fighting stick.
If everything goes to plan I will also include a "water transfer" TAITO logo sheet, so you can tastefully place an optional TAITO and EGRET logo where you please on the panel.
PM me if interested... the more people I get the cheaper they get!

I don't have a use for one, but interested parties may want to know if there will be mounting studs for the joysticks welded to the inside of the panel or if sticks will have to be mounted by drilling holes through the panel and using carriage bolts.

The panel only holds the buttons...the joystick is mounted to another plate underneath the control panel face. It's a pretty clean look.
-
Oh I see, so it's a metal overlay. Looks like they're going to turn out pretty neat. Hope you get enough interest to keep the price within reason.

I'm hoping so too...I could really use one of those on mine. :)

im down..
will need a clearcoat after though to protect the finish and keep fingerprints from making it look ugly as sin..
also , i at a precision machine shop...
if you wantto send me yuod drawings in whatever format you for, i can work with any,i can get them quoted as well and perhaps get them cheaper.

do you need DXF's or something, or do you need an actual hardcopy print, or a file to print?
The place where I was planning on getting them done, just takes the DXF file and laser cuts em..
I believe the chrome job includes all pre brushing and finishing..
(still trying to find some replacement tubes for my speaker pod too.. ) :-\
ok, there's you, supergod, me, and i know a retailer that wants a few, I think we can do this - I will post on a few more forums later and see what happens... ;D
-
dxf works for me..
i not picky, i can open anything..
as far as a bulb for your pod, there should be the model number, and rating as well as a vendor in vegas where you can buy it..
if not i have that info at home and if i cant find that still, i bought extras and can hook you up.

One thing that caught my eye was the missing holes in the middle of the main control panel. The small screws that go through that hold that bracket on the back. Are those holes omitted for a reason?

sorry dyna, I meant the metal tubes for the overhead speaker pod.. haven't even thought about the neon tube yet!!
I actually left a full discourse on arcadeinfinity the other night including email exchanges and pictures, the cheeky swine initialy quoted me $150 for a replacement pod and bars!! he's not getting another penny from me!!!
well, it seems we have 4 interested people and one undecided at the moment, which means nicely priced panels for all!! I should have news for the interested parties before christmas, but it will take a while to get em back - PM me your email address so I can send you the DXF files for your perusal!

Any status on this control panel? This is the last step on my cab...just wanted to know if this was going to happen or not.
I checked out the pics you posted for your cab, Gique...it's looking good!
