Post by: Nobita_kun on September 29, 2002, 07:13:44 pm
Ive got a Killer Instinct 1 jamma board that I'm running on a www.massystems.com Super Nova.
The game want let me pull off moves like fireballs an upper cuts.I't acts like the bad Killer Instinct machines did back in the day.You jus cant pull off complex moves. The Supernova is brand new the controllers are super excellent. Is there  any of you guys that used to work on these Killer Instinct cabinents or boards.I remember back in the day they said the problem came from a loose ground.I dont know what to do.HELP!!!!

I know that micros can have "bounce"...you hit the switch once, but it kind of echoes and sends a second signal....I am not sure if this will affect arcade pcb's....it messed with the older ipacs though...

I can't relate to the original KI problems that you are alluding too...

but here are my thoughts:

* the brand controller you are using are happs ultimates, i've read that a stiffer spring is sometimes desired for "feel" with these sticks

*  Maybe you need to futz with the actuating levers to get easier/more sensitive diagonal action (towards the stick)

* Maybe there's a dips switch setting on the board for "easy combos" that the boards you played on were used to

* Maybe it was a firmware issue and only later KI's played nicer

*shrug*  Maybe you need more practice =P

good luck,
