I'm trying to disassemble the x-arcade joystick and it has 4 bolts that hold in the stick to the wood. When I turn the nut the entire bolt turns, and there is nothing for me to hold it with to get the nut off. Anyone remove one of these before? I'm sure there is a special tool but I don't know what it is.

I'm assuming you are trying to take the joystick out of an X-acade panel?
What kind of bolts are holding them in? Carriage bolts?
-
That's the problem with carriage bolts...no screw head or hex head to grab it with a tool.
-
thanks I'll give it a shot
-
oh yeah...I remember that being a pain in the arse...My hand hurt for days after trying to get those bolts out....I just kept at it until I got pissed enough where I had superhuman strength to get them off ;D
Not to mention the fact that since I was installing T-stiks, I had to make the recession in the joystick mount larger, which isn't easy with all the wires around...
Why didn't I just save up a little more a get a Slik-Stik?
Now that my T-Stiks are in place, it was all worth it though

Ynot build yer own?

xarcade is easier... plus if it messes up you have lifetime warranty :) never hurts to have that

Ynot build yer own?
don't have the tools and I don't trust myself
