Is it possible to hack a playstation dance mat to work on an xbox?

xbox uses a version of USB for controllers.

not sure what playstation uses.

at walmart there is an adapter that adapts ps2 controllers to work with gamecube or xbox. I think they are $10.

i'm in the uk but expect similar is available somewhere.
