Is it me, or is this a fantastic deal on ebay:

if the link doesn't work - 2 joysticks, 20 buttons, $19.95 +shipping.
sounds great?

Good for putting on cabinets for other people or for replacing worn out joysticks on old jamma games. Not so hot for using in a custom $1000 Mame unit, as they are pretty much the lowest quality sticks available.
-
the sticks...they must be poor quality - would you recommend coughing up the $20 for two nice sticks?
-
Your pretty much get what you pay for with arcade joysticks. If your buying Happ then get super or p360, the rest of the happ ones are junk.
All the asian sticks seem decent.

The X-Arcade buttons are slightly different height than Happs. Not something you notice until you try to mix them on a control panel. Just my two cents.

Happ buttons from different years are different heights too. I must have at least six variations of the standard happ/iL button at home.

You can also buy the same package, or just the buttons, or just the joysticks directly here:

Also, to the original poster, from what I have read, the sticks are not all that bad, basically cheap chinese knock-offs of the Happ Supers, so . . .

I have a pair of X-arcade joysticks, as well as a pair of Happ Supers. In my opinion, the Happ Supers are a better joystick. I always seem to have problems hitting the diagonals with the X-arcades. Is there a way to tweak them?
Also, I have the X-arcade buttons as well. I have no complaints about these, they seem to perform just as well as Happ buttons, they a just a little more "clicky" which doesn't bother me.

Doesn't the X-Arcade have the same tabs on the microswitches as the Supers, so you can bend the tabs to adjust them?
-
Oh? I have never had to adjust my Happs... lol, I didn't know that's how you did it. :P
