Anyone know of a good place in/near San Diego to do a cap kit installation?
-
I'm guessing doing it yourself is out of the question?
-
Yeah... I don't really trust my self with 20k volts!
I could probably do it but I would like to see it done first.

Once you disconnect the anode cap from the tube, removing the monitor PCB is a breeze.
It's really not that hard, as long as you don't do something really stupid, like doing it while it's on, etc.

Anyone?
Ok at this point if anyone knows a good walk thru I take a look at that.

On ebay under the Arcade, Jukebox, Pinball section is a guy that sells a $4.95 cd rom of capkit instructions. I think he calls it "fix your monitor yourself and save" or something like that.

Um did you check the FAQ? there's a good walkthough on how to discharge and if you need a walkthrough on how to remove and replace capacitors--you really shouldn't be doing it. :police:
