I dont know if anybody has seen these. Its a full size stand up golf game where you hit the ball at the screen. and you play golf course. Ive been looking for one but I dont know what to search for. I found one for 80 bucks but its only 6 holes.
Does anybody know of a place to find it.

I played one when visiting some friends. It's at Billiard Street Cafe in Fridley or Coon Rapids or Brooklyn Center, MN. It was somewhere in that area. I don't recall the name. It had two screens. One laying flat ont he floor where the ball was that you swung at and another at like a 45 degree angle that showed the holes.

If I am understanding you correctly, you are thinking of the things used at indoor golf ranges or semi-swanky golf equipment sales stores.
What state are you in? I'm in WI, and Golf Galaxy has them, but I dunno if there's a Golf Galaxy in your state. I believe they use an overhead projector along with a laser grid in front of the screen to simulate a slice/hook shot.....my understanding is that they're VERY pricey, and I can't really help you figure out what they're called other than maybe Projection Golf Simulators :-\
Hope that helps a little

Holy smoke $40,000
Dang. Those thing are sweet
-
Was that what they were called?
I was wondering how much those things cost too. I've got a buddy building a house and he's making a portion of his basement a couple of feet deeper just so he can set up a net to practice his swing over winter. We had the "let's get one of those" idea but we figured it'd be expensive.

They've got one at the bowling alley/arcade/bar near my place. I'd consider one if I could get it for less than 10 grand, but then again I'd never get any of my colleagues out of my house all winter, and they drink way too much. :o These are pretty neat though, it knows where you hit the ball and how hard/fast and if you hooked or sliced... pretty damn neat. Lots to consider though, not least of which is the replacement of the projector bulb and laser guns/receptors.

Here is the link to one of the ones I found

This is the kind they have at my local Golf Town shop.

so do you actually hit a golf ball for real? and the ball just hits the screen which is cloth or something?
-
ya you hit the ball and a laser tracks it so it translates to the course. So you hit the ball a laser tracks it when it hits the back stop and translates that to an image of the golf ball going down the course. You do everything that you do playing real golf but driving a cart. You drive, chip and putt on all the great courses of the world.

Well, except the exercise, the fresh air, the time out in nature... you know, all of the actual reasons to play golf. That's like getting a strip club simulator with projected chicks.

I didn't know there were any actual reasons to play golf.
I thought it was something old people did to prove that they weren't dead yet.
Like Bingo, without any of the excitement.

These are actually very cool. Avid golfers would benefit from something like this during the off season (read: winter). My Dad plays an unbelievable (to me at least) number of rounds in a year (>200) and would love to have one of these for when the weather is bad. He even is willing to add on to the back of his garage to make room but the price is still not in his comfort zone. The version he has his eye on is http://www.aboutgolf.com/.

Think of all the money you would save on tips...
-
Ill take a strip club simulator...
I play golf and like you said being outside away from the wife, drinking some beers with friends is great.
BUT...
I would still love to have one of these things. You know like when its DARK or SNOWING or RAINING or the WIFE WONT LET ME GO or DONT HAVE TIME.
You know for all those things.

Seems like those are good times to do something else.
Then again, I just don't like golf.
