I just found a 1981 Ms. Pac Man Cocktail cabinet for $50.00 -- only that it is currently an Arkanoid game. I don't know how anyone played arkanoid through the Pac Man burnin - but. . .
The arkanoid spinners are currently connected to the Jamma Harness. Someone explain to me why plugging the J-Pac in won't work.
Does anyone have a source for the Ms. Pac Man underlay and CP overlay? Also, I could use a new coin box. I currently do not see much on ebay.

Have you tried http://www.arcadecollecting.com/caga/
if you wanted to roll your own. otherwise I guess there are repo houses out there ...
So are you selling the spinners?
Where are you located (and where did you find a beat up mspacmananoid for 50 beans?!?!
Off hand if it's truly a jamma setup... without really knowing or doing it before... I can't see why a jpac wouldn't "Work" either... You'd want an optipac if you were keeping the spinner(s) on the control panel(s) though (or you could do a mouse hack i suppose...)
good luck!

There are about a dozen cabinets at a local arcade supplier. I stopped in at 5:30 tonight as they were locking up. He said $50.00 for anything in this stack, but that he was leaving and I only had 5 minutes.
I noticed the midway/bally control panels and requested this cabinet that was on top. When I pulled it down, I realized it was EXACTLY what I wanted. The cabinet itself is in great shape. I am sending a friend back to dig through the stack.
As for the PCB - yeah if anyone wants an Arkanoid PCB - I have one. The spinners -- I'll be keeping one and offering another to a friend. If he passes, then I will entertain offers.
I guessed that the opti-pac is necessary, but wasn't 100% sure.

Hmm. Looking through some of the sites that were suggested and I noticed that Pac Man cocktail control panel is slightly larger than a Ms. Pac Man control panel. Is there any other means to tell what the cabinet is -- maybe I need to go look at the burn in a bit better.
According to two-bits the plexi-glass that lights the control panel is 4.5 x 11 for pac man, but only 3x9 for Ms. Pac Man. If this is a true way to distinguish, then my cab is a Pac Man cab not Ms. Pac Man. It does have the 1981 Bally/Midway stamp inside.

Hey, I would be interested in the Arkanoid PCB and the spinner. I've got a dedicated Arkanoid upright that need reviving! ;D Let me know what you want for it. Also, maybe I possible trade. I got all kinds of arcade PCBs and parts so let me know. ;D kbr1979@netzero.com
Btw, I think the arkanoid PCB used a variation of the Jamma pinout just for ease of cabinet conversion. I am almost %100 sure that it wont work with a J-Pac. The first Arkanoid PCBs weren't jamma at all and had a special harness. The one you have is either newer or a bootleg.

Interesting. After I got stuff cleaned out last night, I realized that the Jamma Harness is pretty hacked up. Maybe due to this fact. Provide me with an email and I'll contact you regarding the Spinner
