I herd there were a lot more people getting motioin sickness with HL2.  I believe there have always been a percentage of people that get sick playing FPS games, and maybe with more sales, there are just more people, but should be the same perfectage.  What framerate are you running at?  Some people get sick if its under 60fps...some only under 30fps.

I've got a top-end rig so my frame rate is quite high.  Noticed that there will be a patch for this games soon to sort out FPS issues - maybe that will fix my problem - who knows.

I think I get that sickie/sweating feeling when I play when I am tired - who knows  ???

Almost all FPS games make me feel qeasy after only a few minutes play. I greatly prefer third person views.

Don't know how common it is, but I assure you it's real. FPS games are for the most part totally unplayable for me.

I have never heard of it happening to other people before.  But I have gotten sick from playing PC games that were having a low FPS rate.  I really thought it was just me.  It happened 4 times, I know it was the games.  What sucked was that it lasted for hours after I turned it off.  That happen to you guys too?  Or does it go away right after you turn it off?

Usually goes away after only a few minutes for me. Happens with computer games and console games with me.

It greatly depends on the monitor/TV.

I had this problem for a WHILE.  But I was doing ok.  Then I tried to play Halo 2 on a projection TV, and I nearly puked lol.  Also, monitors with low refresh rates seem cause more of a problem.

It seems like the more I play tho, the more I get used to it.

It doesn't matter what computer, graphics card, or monitor -- If I watch someone playing a FPS for more than a couple of seconds (yes, 2 whole seconds) I start to get sick. A good couple of minutes can ruin me for hours.  I can't play them either obviously.

I can't watch someone play Need For Speed Porsche for very long (but can for a while) before I start to get sick, but I can play it for a good hour or so.

One of my friends (wife half of a couple we are good friends with) is the same way. When my wife and I and the two of them go to the movies, any time there's a funny camera sway like that horrible "roller coaster" filmstrip opening, she and I have to look away. Neither one of us could watch the Blair Witch Project either.

I guess that's my problem.  When I did start to feel sick, I continued to play.  I guess the worse you let it get, the longer it lasts.  It is a really crappy feeling...

I had that with Quake and I had to stop playing it. I can play Halo and Halo 2 and pretty much everything else but that game put me down for a few hours. I thought I was just not feeling well but the next day when I felt better I played again and I felt sick again. So it iwas the game. I have no idea what the frame rate was but it hasn't happened since. My mom gets sick as a dog if she watches a big tv and there is flight or a lot of camera movement. She would probably die if she watched the Bourne Supremacy(sp?).

I saw it runnign at a comp store on a 16x9 25" monitor and wow that games looks great. Good thing I don't get motion sickness with FPS and in the car views racers that would suck. A couple of the guys at work are trying to sweet talk the tech dept into letting us hookup a xbox to the screening theater's high def projector. AHHHH 50 feet of gaming goodness.

Off topic: Back in '97 or so I worked at a place that had a full size movie theater & a projector with AV inputs. We used to play Playstation & N64 games in there all time. Man that was fun!

All of you motion-sickness sufferers should definitely stay away from playing KILLZONE for PS2...I don't suffer from it myself when playing FPS games, just from belly-tickling coaster rides and other torture devices like The GRAVITRON. (I hate this ride with a passion)

However, KILLZONE has to have some of the most dramatic camera swaying EVER! When you throw a grenade it's like you're actually inside Saving Private Ryan. Almost too much for me...

the only sickness im feeling is from the 60 bucks missing from my pocket from this title..
definetly not worth the money..
a very run of the mill,un-original FPS...
very unimpressed, and very unhappy..
