Title: Mame Problem, pretty general.

whenever I start up a rom, it pops open and closes the rom. I am using XMAME(got it to work) and GXmame as a front end, but I dont think that this dictates the problem. any help?

Do you actually see the game load up, and then quit, or do you get just a command line screen saying something and then it closes? If so, then you probably do not have the correct roms, or you do not have your roms directory specified.
