All,

Wow, those look fantastic! Are the ball tops solid or hollow? And are you making the ball tops available separately, since they screw on? And lastly, do they come with dustwashers?
-
Just curious but why are they all metallic/shiny?
I'm really looking for a nice ball-top made of classic plastic that I can interchange with competitions but I'll give this one a try

Christian: Any chance of offering these for a Happ 49-way? If not, could you tell me the length of the smaller diameter of the shaft...just wondering if is long enough to turn an extra groove at the end of the shaft, or maybe turn down an extra length of the 10mm part...

Shouldn't the title be "SlikStik Custom Joystick Handles or Shafts *Now Available*
Nice looking product, BTW.

Minwah,

WOW! I really want stainless shafts for my P360s, but they I'll have to wait until after the holidays to pick these beautys up.
Hopefully there will be a set of these (5) given away during this holiday season, or Christian could send me a set to review them, that would be very nice too ;D

I have seen them, they look nice but I wonder why they were produced without the "second step" that is on the original shafts? This step actually gets the original spacer that goes on the shaft and once inserted into the joystick base itself that step acts as a stop so the handle cant go down past that point. I would imaging that since those shafts are manufactured with out it all the weight rests on the e-clip itself.
I was pointing that thread to RobopedeII as he mentioned plastic balls (!), but your point is exactly what I was wondering about too - I mentioned it in the other thread but got no response yet.

Minwah,
Ok, well if you can get your hands on a caliper and measure out the exact joystick dimensions I will make some for retail sale. Or better of, if someone is the US has a 49-way and would like to donate it for measurement purposes that would be great! Anyone willing?

what happened to the pear top joysticks? i had finally talked myself into getting these beauts since the holiday coupon and before i could order, they were off the product page to be replaced. i waited hoping that the ones that were comnig soon were going to have pear top as well since you did before, but after that long and agonizing wait i find that they are only balltops. i was wondering if you guys still had two of the old peartops around that i could get or are there pear tops seen in the future? i would have written an e-mail to ya guys, but you still haven't answered my last one.

As for dust washers, they are not included. Why? Because since they are replacement shafts the customer would likely have one from the joystick they are replacing it with, in the other case if a complete joystick and base is purchased, it is included with the new joystick base itself.
The dustwashers that come with the Perfect 360's are made to go around that plastic sleeve that extends part way down the shaft. The hole in the center of the dustwashers is too big to use on a metal replacement shaft. I know because I was about to use some Wico replacement ball-tops on my project, but I've been looking for the right size dustwashers for a long time, but can't find any. Maybe I'm too much of a perfectionist (especially considering the numerous mistakes I'm destined to make during construction...), but those big-holed dustwashers are just too sloppy to be acceptable.
My point is, including properly-fitted dustwashers with the shafts would be a big benefit. I'm sure they will only add a few cents to the cost.
I will still probably order a couple of those shafts from you, but it would be great if you could include dustwashers, or at least sell them separately.
P.S. - I would have ordered the complete base/shaft set from you if I had only known before that these would be available now. Drat!!! :)

RobopedeII I think what Christian meant by the fact that his had a step on them is that the part of the shaft that the dust washer would go through would be the same thickness as the plastic step on the regular happ shafts. That would make it fit perfect through the DustWasher.

No those are metal too
I want something plastic, like on wico balltops that you would use for games like X-Men/Simpsons

Errrm, no they're not . . .
From the other thread:
A large variety of interchangable balls are available, including mirror finish Stainless Steel, Textured and Shiny Red/Black balls of various sizes, and "Super Grip" rubber coated balls.
I am almost positive the Textured and Shiny Red/Black are not metal, and the "Super Grip", I don't think you could tell. . .

"The Versa-Ball shafts are precision CNC machined from solid Stainless-Steel for years of great looking, trouble-free service."
My bad it says the shaft not ball
so can anyone confirm the material the ball is made of on the ones from RandyT?
Are they the same size as the ones on X-Men/Simpsons etc

You might try E-mailing him or at least posting in his thread rather than Slik-Stik's! ;)

Doesn't matter to me :P

Where do you want it sent?

=NoOne=NBA=
You can send it to the following address:
SlikStik
Attn: Christian
C/O 49-way joystick
357 Harrison St
Nutley NJ, 07110
Once I get it I will spec it out and send it right back to you. I will make a special run of these joysticks and they will be an exact replica of the original handle.
-
If anybody finds a way to use these with the T-Stik plus, please let me know ;D

Christian:
What about us poor Wico guys? I'm living in a Happ-free environment here! ;D I'm wondering if one of your P360 handles would fit / could be modified to fit a Wico base.. I know I've seen that some folks have gotten a Wico handle onto a p360 base, but I've never seen anybody try to turn it around the other way. I'd try it out myself, but I don't have a P360 handle to test with. I could send you a Wico assembly to test with if you need it.
Or if you wanted to make Wico shafts along with those 49-ways...
-
While were on the subject of Wico ive got some WICO Balltop Rotary Joysticks id love to have replacement shafts for. Ive got one with a major chip on the balltop I could send in for dimensions maybe?
That would be sweet having some anodized yellow balltops on a ikari warriors cab.
-
Christian,
Just to clarify, Minwah and I are both wanting BALLTOP replacement shafts for the 49-ways--not exact duplicates of the existing peartops.
-
Minwah & NoOne=NBA=,
Just checking in on the status of both shipments. Each of you please forward your contact info to me at info@slikstik.com. And yes, we are talking ball top replacements for the 49-ways.
