Title: Marquee light fixture from Happ
Post by: Captain Bingo on November 23, 2004, 06:04:11 pm
Hi,
I am building an arcade cabinet, and was buying up the "necessary" items, and purchased a flourescent light fixture from Happ.  I assumed (mistake, i know) that it would have a regular power plug on it, but it's just two bare wires.  Can anyone help me how to get it powered?  I can somehow go to a power strip or a switch, but not real electrically savvy.   Thanks!!

Yes, unfortunately I bought it from Happ first.  Oh well, hindsight is 20/20.  If I had to do this all over again, and I may if it goes well, I would do things a lot differently.  Primarily, sign up for this board before buying everything.

Thanks for all your help, I'll try not to electrocute myself.

If you go to Home Depot, they sell "lamp wire" which is a wire with a plug at the end and and 2 stripped wires on the other side. That should be what you need.
