I placed my first order with Ultimarc today. Curious where they are located? Could not find that info on their site.
-
England, The UK, Great Britain, something like that.

They are in the UK but the shipping is ultra fast. I got my order about 1 1/2 days after placing the order, and I live in california.

ummm, one to one and a half days?
im not buyin that for a second...this is DHL we are talking about here..
this is from someone who has just bought 3 arcadeVGA's, an Ipac, an Opti-pac, and god knows what else over the last 3 months...ive never seen a package in less than a week...and i think you will find that to be the consensus amongst US customers of ultimarc..
nothing to do with ultimarc AT ALL, its just DHL...
realisticly, look to wait 5 to 7 days...and with the holiday upon us, perhaps a day or two more..

Sure, its DHL, everybody ships somehow, right? What I meant was that he uses a fast method, so not to worry if you are far away from the UK. At least that was my experience. I ordered in the evening on a monday, and it arrived in the morning on wednesday. Pretty fast. Your mileage may vary.
BTW.. this was last week.

yeah i got my order from them in 2 days flat. thats some fast ass shipping
-
remember timezones might come in useful here
in real terms it might only take 1-2 hours to fly package from UK to US.
-
When I've got items shipped to Canada, it takes about 7 - 10 days.

I'm glad some of you had great experiences with DHL,
But, I've ordered from Ultimarc. He got the packages out very very quickly. However, DHL took FOREVER to get them to me, in Connecticut. I'm right across the ---goshdarn--- water.
Step 1: Land plane in NY
Step 2: Give me my package.
It took nearly 2 weeks.

I've ordered a couple of times from Ultimarc. Both times the stuff arived before DHL's tracking info was showing it had left the UK. The first time I had issues with DHL not leaving any notice that they'd been by. That one nearly got returned to Andy before I even knew it was here. In all fairness DHL was absorbing Airborne Express at the time and one hand didn't know what the other was doing. The second order went smooth as glass, and I'd have no reservations about ordering anything from Andy again.

Took 11 or 12 for my last order.

2 or 3 days for me, in Utah.

I got one that will beat all of ya.
I ordered an ArcadeVGA card from Ultimarc. When it arrived in Los Angeles some meatball in customs had typed in that it had a customs value of over $50,000 which threw up red flags(why is a "Computer component" so small worth 50k). They held the package and I was contacted by Homeland Security about it. After about 20 phone calls to different "officials" assuring them that I wasn't building a bomb or something I finally received it at my house. The package had obviously been gone through.
either way, Andy at Ultimarc is an awesome guy and stands behind his shet. It always makes me laugh that people who are building a machine will betch about the price of shipping. If he priced his stuff $15 higher and offered free shipping, would that be better? Jeesh

Wow, that's scary stuff!
I placed my order on Tuesday (11/23) and it is supposed to deliver to me today, according to the DHL website ! ;D
EDIT: the package did arrive this mornning, 11/29. just 3 business days!
Wow, all the stuff is smaller than I expected.
These are the VERY FIRST parts of my first ever cabinet. I'm quite excited. That T-stick plus is a clever gadget--8-way / 4-way switchable by pivoting the stick. Very nice.
