Hi,
Does anyone know where I can get hold of detailed construction plans for a cocktail table with the steel

That should answer your question. Not exactally detailed plans, but at least the dimentions you'll need to make some. Im going to be building one of these soon(ish). I'll keep you posted on my progression. PM me if you need further help.

drop a PM to danny_galaga, his looks fairly similar to that.  Mebbe he can help you.  He's an Aussie too, so perhaps you can coax him over to your house with a beer and a nice looking woman, not necessarily in that order  ;D

this is all i used, as well as having a look at a cruddy example in a second-hand shop (didn't actually help in the end, save for physically seeing the size of it). i'm also updating my web page to include all the other 'aussie' style examples i can find. just waiting on my friend to upload it for me. a day or so tops...
