and I was thinking of using flat head screws and screw in everything, joysticks, panel etc, then overlay that all with art, then the plexiglass will cover all that but will be held in place by the tension from all the buttons... I see no reason why this wouldn't work? That way there are no screws showing at all.

It depends what you are going to put on top of the CP, what type of Cab you have and a couple of other things. Tell us more, and we'll be able to help.

Based off Mortal Kombat 3/Midway cabinets
square control box.....joysticks...buttons

Wow 130 views and not one person gave their opinion,
can someone give their opinion on this? Will this work/look right?

It will work if you dont plan on lifting the top of it off. Just because I would thing your going to want to fill the screw holes so you dont see them.

Sub do you have access to look at how a real mortal kombat cabinet attached the CP? It had cleats inside that the top sits on and then clamps to hold it down. Its not a good idea to permanently mount a CP.

No but with mine I'm going to be make it now so I can easily remove the top part of the panel (part with all the buttons/joysticks) and then below those (inside the control box) will be a pullout keyboard drawer and at the very bottom of the box will just be some screws to mount on to the cabinet.
