Hello guys. I've looked everywhere I can think of for a Playstation 2 -> PC adapter that supports everything that makes the PS2 controller so gravy, namely the analog sticks and buttons. I've seen a few in stores and on websites that have some that just support PS1 pads or support the PS2 w/ no analog support, but I'm just kinda at a loss as to finding one that would give full functionality.
I've tried local stores, online stores, and even scouring google. Nothing, nada. At least that I can find. So when I found this board I thought I'd ask. Thanks for any help you can give me!
This grows more important as the PC version of Metal Gear Solid 2 is coming out. :P Plus I just really like the controller, always have. I loved how the Gravis Gamepad Pro was basically a copy of the PSX controller... If only they'd make a Pro 2 that was a copy of the ps2's...
Again, thanks for any info you can give me in this regard, be it product recommendations or whatever. Thanks!

Another quick note to add, I'd prefer that the solution be USB, but legacy gameport is acceptable. No Parrallel port please though since it is kinda being phased out...

I noticed this at levelsix.com:
http://www.levelsix.com/products/pc/PCMagicBox.shtml
It says it supports all buttons and analog control. They have a similar one that lets you use PS2 controllers on the XBox. I have no experience with this model (bought a different one last year that doesn't support analog), so I can't offer an opinion on it.
Hope this helps. :)

wow, thanks guys. This site looks like its got some great stuff.
I was wondering about
this gamepad (http://www.levelsix.com/products/pc/usbdualshock.shtml). It looks like an identical clone of the PS2 controller, already set up for USB. Though I'm a bit concerned about the fact that there is no brand name on it whatsoever, but rather just a generic thing. I don't wanna buy something that isn't quality, but if this is good then it could save me a lot of money, as I wouldn't have to buy a PS2 controller (I don't even own a Playstation 2).
Also, in regards to the first box vs. the 2nd box, I do have a few questions that since you guys own one of them you can hopefully answer. The first one (white, $22) has 3 controller types supported and while that's nice and all, I don't have a saturn or DC controller, nor will I ever want one, so I really have no need for that functionality. Nor will I be using any type of dance mat, so I don't need that either. So, is there any reason to get it rather than the green one that's almost $10 cheaper? I don't care about vibration, in fact, i'm glad the green one doesn't support it. I hate that stuff :P
Again, thanks for the link. I'm happy that now I no longer have to see if there are any good products, but now I just gotta decide on which to get :)

I bought one of these off this same guy on ebay for like $8 ending auction and it supports everything on the PSX/PS2 controllers includding analog and sticks and buttons on the sticks. Also supports 2 joysticks and works with DDR controllers. Just my opinion though... plus I got it in about 4 days.
