Title: Can AdvMENU event_assign use joystick buttons?

I've combed thru the AdvMENU docs for how to change menu events in the gui.  The event_assign does not show any expressions for using a gamepad.  Does anyone know if I can remap events like EXIT (esc) to a joypad button?
