I believe its actully the boot.ini file...there should be an entry called Shell...this will be set to explorer.exe, just change this to arcadeos and it will boot directly to arcadeos instead of windows.

i cant find nething called boot.ini
but i dont think you understand what i mean
in the autoexec.bat file i made the final command
cd c:\arcadeos
arcadeos.exe

and it went into arcadeos fine but it wont run nesticle right but when i go into windows 3.1 and open arcadeos there it works fine.
so what i need to do is open windows then open arcadeos thru that. but i want it to do it automatically.

thanks in advance

It's actually system.ini under c:\windows, not boot.ini where you change explorer.exe to wherever your arcadeos.exe is at.  That's under Win98 though.  I am not sure about win3.1.  You should also be able to put it in the startup folder so it boots when windows boots.

Hmm...sorry, I did misunderstand what you wehre trying to do...I havn't tried to run anything in pure dos in a while, maybe you need Dos4gw? I know nesticle uses it and win 3.1 prob autoloads it...ill attach it and put it in the same directory as nesticle...then run nesticle through arcadeOS like you've been tryin
