Title: dual keyboards...opinions?
Post by: Flinkly on November 18, 2004, 01:52:04 pm
i'm interested in getting a dual keyboard hookup for my computer so that i can have all my arcade controls hook up through the keyboard and mouse connetions because my usb is testy...i'll tell you more if anyone shows interest.  has anyone used one of these?  drawbacks?  here's an address to a product i'm talking about...

any other ideas?  i'm going to have a regular keyboard and mouse, my ipac4, a slikstick tornado spinner, and a trackball of unknown origin so far.  i'd like to hook all of these up to mouse and keyboard input things, so opinions are welsome.

p.s.  these people also make one for mice.  and does anyone know of a less costly solution?

The ipac has a keyboard passthrough doesn't it?

Another good solution is a USB mouse / keyboard.

Then have a usb hub near the front somewhere and just plug them in.

You CAN have a usb and a ps2 keyboard at the same time (on all systems??)

I have a belkin keyboad splitter that works great. I picked it up off ebay for $8. Retail is about $50. It allows 2 ps2 keyboards to be used at the same time.

Here is one from ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33964&item=5139256292&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

You can also make a keyboard splitter for < $10.
