Title: Installing ArcadeVGA for first time
Post by: LeedsFan on November 18, 2004, 04:41:54 am
I'm about to install my ArcadeVGA card into my cab PC for the first time. I've read the installation instructioins on the Ultimarc website. I just have a query....

The card does not support a normal PC monitor, only arcade monitors. Will the PC boot up Windows onto the arcade monitor first time BEFORE I install the full driver package?

Ultimarcs site says... "The Windows screen should be displayed at 640 X 480 interlaced, 16 colours."   Will the card set Windows at these setting on first boot up regardless of what my desktop setting were in XP beforehand?  Or do I  need to set these BEFORE I install the card so that it can display Windows on first boot up?

Yes, when I got mine I chunked in into my desktop PC and hooked it on up to the JPAC and it booted up just fine. Nothing to worry about.
