My arcade cabinet, which will also be named Ultracade (or Ultracade 82 or something like that), well my desire is to make it a pseudo-real arcade machine as much as possible and I really like Ultracade and its frontend, anyone have any suggestions?

Maybe Ultrastyle??
Looks just like Ultracade without the ugly CGI girls.

I can't get ultrastyle to work at all which was sad.
-
Yeah, me either. It hates my windows setup. :P

ultrastyle is the only one that focusses just on the wheel interface...that makes it the best imho for the purpose...
but if you cant get it too work...you can try downloading 3darcade...unzip it...run it..select various from the first menu...and then the ultra wheel from the next menu...and see if thats something you like...

Ultrastyle presently only works with XP. The author is aware that 98 users are out, and he is seek to fix the prob. For more check out http://www.mameworld.net/ultrastyle/ in the forum for some info on getting Ultrastlye to run under 98 if you have a XP machine to set it up on.

I actually copied an ultrastyle install to 98 and it worked fine. Although it tends to only work on half the pcs I try it on.
I also have an Ultrastyle layout labeled completely as Ultracade.
The only problem is that ultrastyle is designed for SHORT gamelists. Don't bother with it unless you are tuning your gamelist down to 100 games or less.
