I finally built a cabinet ;D
http://www.2fiddles.com/arcade/uncabMain.html
I neglected to upload the construction photo this AM, so that page is picture less for now, but I'll probably get that working tonight.
Anyway, this cab is a solution to the space challenged home. It stands about 24" tall. The CP is not attached, so I either put it on a coffee table or set it on my lap or sit on the floor to play.
It's actually a fully functional computer, and I'll probalby play PC games on it too. I'm considering putting a network card in it and using for a web browser too, since that's already a part of windows.
I put casters on it, so I can roll it into the living area to play games, and roll it into the office for storage. The initial concept was a table top game, but it's too heavy.
I still need to finish the wood and drill some holes in the front panel to let the sound out, and attach the loose pieces.

Wow.
Looks almost like a MAME console patterned after a Vectrex.
Awesome!

Hahahaha, is that a logitech marble trackball?
That tiny cab is so cute. Reminds me of those pocket cabinets (http://www.miniarcade.com/img/games/coleco/pacman_game2.jpg) in the 80s with pacman on them. I wonder if anyone has ever gutted one of those and put mame on it... Surely someone as? Looks like I have a google task for today.

having a cab that small is dangerous,
too easy to throw across the room when i get killed in ghouls and goblins :P
