Title: parallel port driver capable of reading all input pins?

noticed there are a lot of instructions for connecting your conroller to the parallel port, but is there just a prog that will read all the readable pins of the parallel port?
I built my own interface (from scratch) but would like more buttons, not possable when the driver restricts you
