Title: Another newbie question
Post by: dark_jedi on November 16, 2004, 02:53:24 pm
Trying to get the layout down (just the relative thickness, I am using Jakobds Showcase plans) can someone walk me through the depth for the buttons and the joysticks? I think I am going to order the T-Stik Plus (4 Sticks - All Black) and buttons from Ultimarc.

Any general guidelines would be great, just found some instructions on mounting on the Ultimarc website. Judging by the pictures, couldn't I just cut a standard hole? The T-Stik plus looks like it needs a panel overlay..is this just another piece of MDF of the Lexan?

Maybe I am reading more into this than I should...

The buttons will mount in any material up to about an inch thick. Just drill a hole.

Happ Super sticks will mount well in 1/2 inch thick material. They will go in 3/4" material, but they won't look right, so most people route out the panel to make it thinner where the stick goes.

I don't know about the t stick, but I'm thinking of getting one, so it will be intesting to hear from someone who has one.
