I got a bunch of N64 stuff in 7z compressed format, a few of you might have seen these around too. Whats the easy way to convert them to ZIP so they match the file extention of my other roms and work in Mamewah?
Thanks,
Anthony

Download 7-zip from: http://www.7-zip.org,
Extract all your roms,
Zip em back up again.
The commandline version (or feature) should make it easy using wildcards etc..

Or you could just set the rom_extension to '7z' (assuming your emulator supports them of course).

Yeah, I will have to try the command line version. Didn't relize there was one. I was using the windows version and there just doesn't seem to be a "Extract each to seprate folder" command. I was un-7zing them seprately, after and hour not being half done, gave up on that tedious task. I tried to find a batch program, but nopers again. So I will look into the commandline ver.
Thanks,
Anthony

Why do you want to extract them to separate folders? As long as there is only one file in each (I'm assuming there is?) then extract them all to the same folder, and then use a commandline zip program to zip them all up in separate zipfiles (I'm assuming such a zip program must exist also!).

Yes 7zip is one of the best compressors in terms of size, but its very slow at compression/decompressing...

zipzag allow you to convert from one format to another.

latest version of winrar (3.4+) supports 7z, and can batch convert to zip or rar
