Hello ,
does anyone have or know where i can get a quality image of a 4 player startbutton? i coudl even use a 1 player button and photoshop it to become a 4 player i guess, but a 4 would be best.
theres a crappy image on happ controls website but its too low quality for my purposes..
i posted this in the artwork section,.but evidently this request doesnt fall under that category and has been largely ignored.
i have searched high and low and i cant find anything..
any help would be greatly appreciated..

it doesnt look bad, but i would like a little better quality 4 player button to place in the middle..
see how the legs are not the same on all 4 players and artifacts like that?

Dynagod, check your webdings or wingdings font family. I am almost POSITIVE you can find one in the Webdings one, but I can't remember what the key or key combo is.
I'll work on finding out where I found this, but I believe it was from this very board. Do a search for it, and I'll google it right quick.

The webdings chracter is code 128.
Shortcut is ctrl-v

Also, if you wanna get 'em closer, there's prolly an easier way, but I go into Photoshop and type 'em, and then fiddle around with the font spacing, size, and whatnot.
If that won't work, Type out the character and trace it in Illustrator to vectorize it.
Come to think of it, perhaps try Mahuti's Arcade Art Library. Mebbe he has it already vectorized.
There's enough options for you to find it now, hey? :)

€€i can see it in my character map ,but i cant do anything with it, when i copy it to my clipboard i cant paste it anywhere to see it other than the viewer.
ive never played around with anything other than alphanumericals so ive never had to deal with it.

I think you can find some in the arcade art library. Wasn't there a pic floating around with different color buttons and joysticks and stuff? I might have it aound myself. I'll edit this post if I do.

Nah Coot, see what he wanted to do? He's looking to make an image on his CPO instead of separate "man" buttons. I'm guessing he wants to keep all the same color buttons or something and wants something to show which buttons are the "1 Player" buttons.
Are you using wordpad or Word?

Alright, I'm giving this for Word, as I don't have Wordpad, so here goes.
Open up a new document.
Across the top, select the "insert" tab
Select "symbol". The "symbol" box will open
Change the font to "Webdings"
The character you are looking for is pretty much right in the center of all the symbols you have to choose from.
Single click to enlarge the character to see if that's the one you want.
Double click to insert the symbol into your document
Change font size as you see fit.
To change the spacing between men, highlight the guys you want to get a little closer together (click and drag over 'em)
Right click the highlighted area and select "Font"
Change spacing to "condensed" and change the "pts" to whatever looks best to you. Hit "OK" and you're good to go.
p.s. there's also a Blues Brothers-type guy in the upper right hand corner right next to the large black dot, and for your half-life, although it doesn't necessarily fit, there's an alien head (like alienware's logo guy) up a row and a bit to the right.
