Title: WTS Popeye Cab (Sold)
Post by: Soulcon on November 13, 2004, 04:22:20 am
I would like to sell a Popeye Cab I recently purchased it is excellent condition however it currently is in the non working state. I have been told it could be something as simple as a Cap kit to bad voltage somewhere. I really haven't had a chance to delve into it and tthe wife is getting miffed with it sitting here. I figured if I can sell it I could get a working Cab that she would atleast be able to play .

This is what it has!

1. Beautiful Cab no Sideart though
2. Beautiful Marquee
3. Beautiful Bezel
4. Sanyo 20ez Monitor (Guessing but is whats usually in Nintendo cabs)
5. All original circuitry stuffs.
6. Manual and Circuit layout (not even a crease)
7. CP slightly faded just a smidgen joystick a little loose
8. Coin door needs new lock

When I got this thing there wasn't even a cob web in the thing it is in the same shape as when I bought it. I would love to here of someone fixing it and enjoying it to the fullist but I currently haven't the time to do anything with it.

I am asking $250.00 and ask that only a local pickup be done. My current arcade transport vehicle is out of commisson and this is only way I could get it anywhere. So all you Chicago people near or around Chicago Heights if your interested shoot me a PM. Below is the thread including my auction I won with great pictures as well as some pictures of my own. This was what I did to try and fix it as well. To all Good Luck and the sooner the better.

I live in Chicago Heights

Small world, I used to live on Prairie Ave by Roosevelt and went to St. Agnes up until the 3rd grade (1986?) before moving away, my brother in law currently lives off Maple Dr. over by Bloom.  Good luck on selling the cabinet and with your daughters birthday.

I wonderful gamer from the BYOAC and Klov area picked up Popeye this morning. hopefully he will get it up and running to its past splendor as he has reassured me he could. He was extremely friendly and the sale went with out a hitch. Thanks for everything all of you!
