Does anybody know where to buy t-moulding in australia? (appart from Ozstick coz they have only one type). I need it to be someone who will post stuff to NSW. Thanks

Ebay?

t-molding.com (http://t-molding.com)
sure it's from the US but shipping isn't too expensive

I will probably end up having to go with tmoulding in the US but i was quoted on their website that shipping to australia is $35 US. Maybe i will send an email and ask for cheaper shipping options. Still looking for Aussie alternatives if anybody knows any... I have one called Nover in NSW but the only sell in 75m lengths for $150AU

You need to search for plastic extrusion companies or cabinet makers supplies. There is plenty of t moulding made locally in OZ as in New Zealand.
-
Ozstick only list T-molding on their web page to suit 16mm wide board but I was recently advised they now stock 20mm T-molding. (It's not listed on the web page just yet.) Still only available in black though....!
If you find a local supplier for different coloured stuff let me know!

Not sure if they just sell T moulding, as they only list spare parts on there site for sale. They do, however, sell DIY cabinet kits that come with T moulding.

they have all contact info on there site. Could be worth a try.
Let us know how you go!

I got mine from t-molding.com, which would have been prohibitively expensive if I hadn't also ordered the slot cutter with it. That made it more reasonable, not to mention easier and quicker to get the cutter. Mind you, having said this, I wish I'd ordered more for my next project :P

Try these guys.. they sell it by the metre if you're really nice :)

I got mine from Galvins Hardware also, they where quite cheap as I recall.

no, no, no!! i live in DARWIN and i still found two local suppliers!! one had two colours available per metre and the other had about five! t-molding was around way before video games were. try people who supply to cabinet makers. obviously the two i found are local and not much use to you (although even buying from darwin will be cheaper than freight from overseas). but some clues to what shops to hunt down- one shop was a specialty cabinet fittings shop called tecs & tecs. the other was called territory saws and hardware who have it because they sell routers and accessories. walk in, about a buck fifty a metre, walk out. easy!
good luck!

I stumbled upon Galvins from a link a couple of weeks ago and sent them a email but they never replied. Might have to give them a call. Thanks!

Heya Danny, I just moved down from Darwin. I never really looked around town for parts, but I was presuming that there would be SFA. Obviously I was wrong. Good find though. I'll have to let my other mame buddies in Darwin know of this one

good move ;) i think im off to brissie next year. born and bred here but i'm tired of the heat and the itinerants (which i'm guessing included you, hehe) i'll miss my mame cab though :'(
yeah, the reason i tried harder for the t-molding was that i used to work at bunnings who don't stock it and i just couldn't believe that no- one was stocking such a simple item...

This looks like it might be worth a shot.

and if those guys only sell by the roll and you're still stuck, this is where i bought mine from (by the metre):

so long as you are happy with grey or black...
edit: just checked the consolidated edgings site again and they list their distributors. i just so happens that the NT distributor is territory saws & hardware! theres a few listed in the other states so there's no excuse for buying overseas now...

Got mine from Clark Rubber. They only had black, white, brown and grey. I got the white stuff and then spray-painted it with modelling enamel paint. Finish was actually really nice (and hasn't chipped AND is beer-proof) but it's very fiddly. It's also a cheapass way of doing it but coloured t-moulding is almost impossible to buy in Australia, unless you're buying 100 meters at a time.
And a week later I discovered t-molding.com and gave myself a big old kick up the... ;D
