It has been a long time since I have been on this board. I just stopped by to say hello to some of the old timers. Very happy to see a few of you are still continuing with your FE work. I have not done anything with ArcadeFX for ages now but it has not been far from my thoughts. It is still heavily downloaded so that amazes me.
I have actually been playing around with the idea of picking the development back up this winter. I hope to have some free time in the next month. We will have to see what happens.
Cheers,
Ed

I didn't think you'd be back on the board. I still run Arcade FX too, just because it looks so nice. If you don't want to pick back up on development making some skins that look as nice as arcade fx for some of the other emus I know I'd appreciate it.
-
im really good with photoshop
as soon as i get that mame .69 file for arcade fx i'll whip up some new fx skins to repay him, and i'll make some mamewah skins and stuff too, skins for all!
-
I have a request for a "PC games" skin for mamewah ;D
I'm trying to vome up with a skin for pinballs for mamewah also, but I'm not really good with photoshop, although my problem so far has been finding "base" pictures to build the skin from.
-
i'll get on that give me an idea of what you want though
theres a million ways to do a pinball layout

dreamcastninja, It looks like the mame team have removed the option...
mame -listinfo
...from the executable in v.88. I do not know what verions they took this out since i have been out of the loop for a while. If it is still in .68 I can get you a new updated db. I don't have a copy of .68 to do this.
If you can go to your mame folder from the command prompt and type the follow...
mame -listinfo > listinfo.txt
... this will generate the file I need. Let me know if this is successfull for you and email me the file.
In the mean time I will try to find out in what version of mame they stopped using this. They have actaully replaced the -listinfo with -lx. This generate a messy XML file.
Cheers.

i'll download it and do that on this computer and send it to ya since i cant copy anything from my mame pc give me a few minutes THANKS!
-

Okay with a little investigation and a quick post to the mame.net forum I have a solution.
mame.exe -listxml | xml2info.exe > list.txt
This just solved my (our) problem. I will have a .88 database up on the website for download in the next hour.
Cheers,
Ed

since the rom names have changed in .88 could you make a mame .69 version of it for me?
i have the txt file from my mame that you need. i can email it to you if i get your email addy?
or does .88 include the old rom names too from .69?
-
Sure click on my name (ArcadeFX) and you will get my email address in my profile.
Get the this file.
mame.exe -listxml | xml2info.exe > list.txt
if that doesn't work then try this.
mame.exe -listinfo > list.txt
Send me the list.txt file that is generated.
Cheers,
Ed
