So did anyone buy anything there? I was there for most of it, but I didn't find anything that I could actually get home by myself.
I was looking pretty closely at the Missle Command Cabaret but I got a work phone call just before bidding started on it.
What'cha get Oscar? You weren't one of the guys buying every second or third thing were you?

Yes, it is pretty dangerous. I risk getting killed every time I go. Well, not just by going, but what the wife will do to me if I bring home a boat load of crap. ;D
ddebuss - Nope, I didn't pick up anything today. Just looking and watching.

I also bought nothing. I couldn't stay long because I had the whippersnapper with me. That old skeet shoot game brought back some memories. Do you know how much the sit-down Thunder Blade or Adams Family Pinball sold for?
-
I got there at around 10 and stayed until the end (around 2:30). This is the third superauction I've been to so far. There were many DOA cabinets that went for very little money (as low as 2 for $1). A nice looking 2-slot NeoGeo with 2 games went for only $150. Several cocktail cabinets in various conditions went for under $50.
It seems to me that the prices for the mostly beaten-up cabinets that I see at these auctions are coming down to a realistic level. I would like to get a pinball machine, but those still went for top dollar, even though the prices for video games were depressed.
Does anyone know about any other arcade auctions in the Metro Detroit area? I saw an ad in marketplacedetriot.com a few weeks ago for an auction of games from a Major Magic's, but it was during my work hours so I didn't go.

I was a little shocked at the prices some of the games went for.
What I really wanted to get was a pinball. It was the first time I was able to hang around for the pinballs. I was a bit suprised how much they were going for. I was expecting a lot lower prices based on what the videos were going for.
I was also a little shocked about how much the Valley Dart and the Foosball tables went for. I would nave made bids on them as well if the price was a lot lower.

DOA cabs 2 for $1.00? I think it costs $12.00 just to put it in the auction. Next time I'll stick around and get a game or two.
