Title: Arcade os -monitor in cmd line error
Post by: danviste on November 09, 2004, 09:29:04 pm
Hi,  I was running dmame with arcadeos 2.47 without any problems using a J-pac connecter.  I upgraded to a newer computer and put windows mame 88 and arcadeos 2.52 on the system.  Now everything loads up to the arcadeos menu but upon running a game it give me the error of "error -monitor error in cmd line"  It doesnt happen when using dmame but I need to use the windows version due to my crappy sound card.  I have removed the -monitor arcade option from arcadeos.cfg and it keeps coming back.  I have tried running mame from the command line but it will only work directly to a computer monitor but not to my arcade cabinet without the -monitor arcade option.  Which ofcourse then arcadeos fights with.  Is there a workaround for using arcadeos with windows mame 88?

Ive seen other people ask this question on other boards but they havent gotten anywhere.  Does anyone here know?

Much Thanks,
Dan

ArcadeOS is a DOS program, and designed to be used with DOS Mame.

Make sure that you have incabinet=0 in your arcadeos.cfg.
