Title: PS/2 female panel-mount jack
Post by: etoasty on November 09, 2004, 06:46:00 pm
Anyone know where i can buy these? I've searched online for awhile now, and I guess i just haven't found the right combination of words yet to bring it up.

A picture of one (on the left side):

I'm building a second removable control panel (this time with a trackball) and i'm trying to make it a little cleaner than the last. I saw these on animekai's [sic] control panel a long time ago, or at least something like it, and it's definitely nicer than just cutting holes in the back of the control panel box and running the cords through.

Thanks guys!

If I understand what you are looking for, I think the magic words would be "mini DIN" connectors.

Here's a link to that category at Mouser....I'm sure there are other sources.

...or you could hack what you need from here:

Thanks man, found what i was looking for in the catalog (and I asked them to send me a paper copy). I had actually seen that PS/2 adapter for the PCI slot plate at another online store, but they were $5 each and i needed 3. I'll probably end up using those anywho, because it'll at least save me from having to solder both ends of the wires.

Again, much thanks!

No problem.....

After I posted the link from cyberguys.com I got to thinking, I may have some of those ps2 backplates sitting in a box around here.

If yes, I'd be happy to send your way. I'll look and report again.
