Title: ArcadeVGA with Vision Pro
Post by: pogo on November 09, 2004, 12:28:00 pm
I plan on using an ArcadeVGA card with a Happ Controls Vision Pro 19" CGA monitor in a cocktail cabinet I am building.  Does anyone know if I just need the breakout cable to attach this monitor or if I also need the video amplifier Ultimarc also sells? Thanks.

you need to make or buy a VGA HACK CABLE aka Vga Breakout cable.  There is a link in here somehere how to make one.

I still have left over if interested.

Update: If you are gonna buy the Video Amp, then you don't need it, it comes with a regular VGA cable and you screw the CGA cable to the VIdeo AMP.

Thanks.  I also got in touch with Andy at Ultimarc and he said the breakout cable was all I needed.  No video amplifier required.

Then just make one or get one pre-made.
