with the new filters be able to filter out "status preliminary"?  IE the non working games.

No but there is a "good/bad" in the overall status section of the drivers field.  It would be something like 10=*overall BAD* or 10=*status BAD*  Generally if it's bad in overall status it's unplayable or pretty close to it... btw i'm not sure if it's 10 or not.  :)
