Technically speaking, is this a "Build Your Own Arcade Controls" question? I dunno - it's about as close as you can get and still not be in the right place.
A friend recently found an old Hurricane foosball table. The rods and men are missing, but he said that the rest is in great shape (I'll see it on Saturday). My friend thinks that Tornado tables have compatible parts with the Hurricane. Can anyone verify that? Also, looking at the prices to replace the parts, Happ Controls is going to charge around $500.00 for just the poles and the men. I have found websites that charge less, but he'd still be looking at $300.00.
Maybe I'm just being cocky, but it really doesn't seem like it would be too difficult to get a long rod and cut it into the right-sized pieces, and save a bundle by putting together your own rods (for starters). Does anyone have any suggestions on where I might look for chrome-plated rods of a very specific diameter?
Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

there's a foosball/table soccer faq out there somewhere that might have the answer(s)... I read it ages ago, trying to learn how to play foosball without "spinning" but ... don't know where the faq currently is located....
*Shrug* good luck!

It's a quick snap of the wrist, along with hitting the ball in the right spot. I kinda got it down. One of my ex-employees was good at it. He'd beat me every lunch. Don't ever blink when playing against him.

I had one in my house for a few years. (my bosses and he didn't have room..)
Warning about ebay. the rods have to be VERY straight. if they are used... they were probably removed for a reason (like someone bent them).
Go to a pooltable/darts store in town and I bet they can order the parts for you.
btw, not spinning, there are a ton of ways to do it. On way I like to do it is to cup your fingers (but keep your hand open so your not grabbing the handle). Then slide your hand down on the grip (while still touching) then pull up fast until your hand hits the grip (stopping since it was curled).
