I built 3 new servers at work this week, and they came on line today. Yaay, my first server build was a success!!
They're named Pong, PacMan, and Galaxian. ;D ;D
Anybody else like to annoy your co-workers with constant references to arcade games?
-
Not so much my co-workers but my wife is sick to death of anything arcade related!

Are you kidding? "The Man" rules my work with an iron fist. I can't even create a shortcut much less do anything cool. If we go online, the webpages are prescanned for images and text that fits certain "patterns" and flag you for "investigation" by the tech nazis. No joke. They'll come into your desktop and write you messages to warn you the website you are viewing is not work related.
That's why I don't help them when I know why something isn't working. F 'em, if their so good, let them figure it out while I sneak in a nap. Little do they know that I've moved to the only computer at work with a hard drive and taken it over as the admin. I simply close the remote server crap and they think I'm doing something away from the desk. Then I fire up autocad and sketch control panel ideas ;)

Cooter, please speak louder and more clearly into my lapel.....please look at the bridge of my "glasses" as you repeat that....I....er......couldn't hear you the first time ;D

Oh, and check me out....I get to freely surf here while at work. Haven't named the workstations arcade names though.

I surf BYOAC constantly during boring classes.

I meant control panels as in electrical boxes. Yeah that's what I meant. ;)
You wouldn't believe what I had to go through to try and get a printer networked at a jobsite. Long story short, four months later the print server is sitting unused in a desk drawer.
