I have my monitor set to a refresh rate of 60hz. When I'm in Windows (XP) the rate is 60hz. However, when I launch Mamewah 0.97, the rate jumps to 75hz. Many of the games will not play and give a "over 50hz" error message.
This setup worked fine on a 17" monitor, but things went wonky when I hooked up the pc to my 27" monitor.
I've looked through Mamewah setup and can't find any setting for the rate. Any ideas?

It could be. Open your layout in the mamewah layout designer. There's a 'refresh rate' drop down in the background menu.
Note to minwah or anybody that might know: Is there any reason to have layout-specific refresh rates?

Thanks for the tip Spam.
Found the setting and it was set to 75kHz. Changed it and now the monitor is running at 60kHz in Mamewah.
I'm still getting a "Over 50kHz" error message with many of the older games though.
I'm going to try playing around with Powerstrip to see if I can correct the problem. Has anyone else seen the "Over 50kHz" error message when running Mamewah on a pc monitor?

Not really, but if you only have 1 layout then that is the only refresh rate that will be used. If that makes sense...
