Due to cost and other issues, how does this sound for playing mame and PS2 in a homemade cabinet?
1.make cabinet. (with easy to get to backside for back of TV)
2. use 20' TV with S-Vid
3. Wire PS pads to the arcade controls,
4. buy vid card with video out,
5. buy adapters for PS2 to USB.
6. buy set of PC speakers for MAME, use old "3 part" sound system for PS2 games.
7. have Cabinet (kinda) close to computer.
Sounds like a cheap idea that will get the job done? Someone once told me that they tried to make a mame station to run all fighting games, but that it wouldn't do right because they had to keep switching the res (I don't really understand that,,,).
Any ideas? I know it's cheap, and I don't mind the 1 step to the computer to load games. If you see anything that would make the GAMEPLAY kinda messed up, please share! Remember, I'm on a low budget, so please no tech-heads getting giddy or laughing at me.

You may want to decrease the size of the TV from 20 feet to 20 inches to save on materials cost, and to fit it inside your house.
<insert obligatory Stonehenge reference here>

He he nice, Spinal Tap rule.

Spinal Tap! Well, in that case make sure the volume knob goes to 11!

I do not, for one, think that the problem was that the band was down. I think that the problem may have been, that there was a Stonehenge monument on the stage that was in danger of being crushed by a dwarf. Alright? That tended to understate the hugeness of the object.

..... *slaps head*
Ok, other than the mistakes I wrote when I was tired and fixing to go to bed, I don't see a problem, other than the 20ft TV....
Thanks.

A 20ft tv would rock though. ;)
