Someone also posted before about using Rustoleum High-Heat black paint on some bolts, which can be heated up to 1000 degrees or more. They said that after letting the paint air-dry, bake them in the oven at 400-500 degrees for 30 minutes (?) and they cure to an almost unscratchable finish. I was going to try this, but ended up that none of my bolts would be showing anyway... :-\ I might still try re-painting my coin door with this stuff if I can easily remove the original paint and plastic parts.
Anyone tried this?

I've tried the high heat stuff for made for grills and stuff. It works pretty good, too. Of the two, I prefer the finish of the epoxy I linked for smaller items like bolt heads because it makes them look so crisp and clean.
But... I wouldn't use it on a coin door. The reason I decided not to use it for my mounting plates is because they came out looking like mirrors. I could literally see my reflection in them, and they looked out of place on a control panel because they were so bright. I would rather go with the dull, high heat paint for a coin door because that would look a lot more like the original finish.

One of the distributors around here (CT) was offering to powdercoat coin doors for like 20 dollars (plus shipping)
he could do exotic colors and wrinkle finish...
Although I used some appliance finish paint for my coin door... but if you were a perfectionist with extra money you could go the powerdoating route...

PS thanks for the tip though on that other paint oscar.
