I applied my centipede side art today. I put the windex on the cabinet. I placed the side art and squeegied out the windex.
My question is this:
how long do I have to wait before the sticker is actually stuck? Its been about an hour and nothing. If I screwed this up somehow, I'm considering losing my mind (if this bush in office wasn't bad enough!),
-
Was the Windex diluted with water?
-
I'd give it at least 24 hours.

You shouldn't use Windex because the solvents in it can destroy the adhesive over time.

Really?? I thought eveybody always said windex? Does OSCAR use windex? I thought he had (I could be way off there).
So I used it and waited over night. Its sticking pretty well. Well enough that I was able to remove the masking. It looks pretty good. There are a couple of loose spots, but I'll give it a little more time.
When I did my black vinyl, I cut and put it where I want. I removed a small corner of the backing and then stuck the piece to the cabinet. I then slowly removed the backing while pressing the vinyl with a plastic scraper. I was going to use this method for the sides, but ultimately went with the windex (because you can move it around).
So I've only done one side... how should I do the other??
Will my left side art just fall off one day?? I guess there's nothing I can do about it now. :'(

I would have helped you...BUT, being the Bush supporter that I am, I have to go to work now at the sign shop I work at. :P
We're infested with Democrats up here, who seem to think MY money is THEIR money.
I have to go earn MORE now, so I can keep as much as I SHOULD have had in the first place.

I have nothing constructive in terms of methods for applying side art but wished to commend you for the parental instructional item adorning your refrigerator.
As a single father of three, I must applaud your creativity.

I work in a sign shop too. I would have used the Windex to clean the surface, then used soapy water (or RapidTac application fluid) to apply the vinyl. I've never tried using Windex to actually apply vinyl, but I'd imagine it would't hurt.
Be careful not to make a mess though, that message on the fridge looks serious!

You should be able to fit a dorm fridge into the empty space at the bottom of the cab...
Actually that would be pretty sweet for storing beer in the game room... Hmmm...
