Title: Xbox Emulator?
Post by: papaschtroumpf on November 03, 2004, 01:10:50 pm
Does anyone run and XBox emulator? do they run OK?
All I could find was Cxbx and Xeon.
It appears that Xeon only supports Halo and I'm not clear on what, if anything, runs on Cxbx.
Also, Xbox DVDs are not readable on a PC that I know of, so does that mean that I can't use the Xbox Disk but need to find a "dump" somewhere else?

IMO it is way way wayyyyyy too early to be concerned with xbox emulation.   The system is still readily available, and you can get older stuff also.  If you wanted to play games on a cab, you could always mod it with a hard drive and put games on the hdd.

I know that wasn't the answer you were looking for.  I've never played with teh emulators.  I just don't see why you would worry about it knowing (at least last time I looked) the emulations was barely playable, if at all.

He's being too kind actually.  The xbox is 150 bucks... quit trying to pirate the system and go buy one!  :P

Thanks for the kind words  ;) but you missed my point. I have an xbox, it's just not in the same room as the cabinet, and I thought that it would be cool to capitalize on those Xbox games if I could throw them on the cab when people are hanging around in the basement.
Sounds like the answer is that it's not worth my time.
