Hi guys, I recently went to a website to find roms for ... *cough* neo-geo games I have....
Anyway. There was a "MAME" Section, and a Console Neo-Geo section. I have an old "rage" neo geo emulator, but am currently using "Kawaks". Which are the "real" Neo-Geo dumps? I thought they were all the same?

Wrong!
Neoragex use some hack roms which will not be execute
in MAME nor winKawaks.
you must have a compete rom set (also a latest available
neogeo.zip file)
Another way to convert or update ur old neogeo roms
use a roms check software Clrmame.
U can also use a link to get neogeo roms.
just write a rom name in search box .

Ok, i haven't used rage in years, i've only got 2 games for it anyway, what I really would like to know is if the console Neo-Geo dumps are the same as the MAME ones, and if I download the mame ones, can I run them on WinKawaks?

i am not sure about rage but Mame,Nebula,Winkawaks all of them have a same
way of roms-dumping.As i told you about neoragex which have some other
tricks to dump incomlete romsets. neorage roms can be use for mame,Kawaks,Nebula after going to perform a roms check.You must realise that old neoragex roms are not useless you can just upgrade them by Clrmamepro and you can even download the only files which are missing inside a zip.

This will help you to download only selected files with in a rom,because it shows a zip preview and gives choice to download some selected files or complete ZIP.

This software will convert your neoragex roms into a mame compatible roms because neorage have different roms names(internaly and externaly) then mame.
