Can we stop the political threads now so we can start the rebuilding process on the Everything Else forum?

Did you notice how CNN was using whole number to show the percent of people voting for Bush and Kerry for ever state, but when they finally said Bush won Florida (they waited till 97% of the votes were counted), they said Bush won with 51.9% of the vote.

Jebb Bush told the media before the elections began that George would win Florida with 52% of the vote.

The Clinton News Network makes me giggle.

I agree.  Unfortunately there will be some on both sides of the fence that will have trouble letting it go.

Here here to that. I'd like to forget that Bush is prez for the next four years, and ignore the goverment for the next four years.

So, what are good 4-way vertical games? ;)

Does this mean that Sean Penn and a few other celebs will move out of the US like they promised?

The political threads will slowly die out, I imagine.

I'm going to go back to downloading porn, maybe take up some recreational drugs...

In Canada, there is a federal motion in progress to change the charge for someone carring 15 grams or under of weed to a fine instead of criminal charges.   ;D

Just think in Canada
- Gay Marriages are ok
- Stem Cell research is ok
- Prescription Drugs are cheaper
- Free Healthcare
And no criminal charges for minor possession.

Four words about Canada:

Gravy on French Fries

I'll leave it to you to decide if that's a good or bad thing.

Yeah, but we're boring... :P

I didn't know about Poutine.  I just always associate Canada with gravy on French fries.  Spent my honeymoon in Banff and Lake Louise.  Beautiful country up there.

What time of year did you go Banff?  As winter, there's some great skiing and summer, there's great trails in that area.

Is it just a knee-jerk reflex that causes you to post about how we should be getting back to the business of discussing arcade things?  You seem to be QUITE fond of spewing platitudes like that and then, ivariably three or four posts later, go directly against that which you rail against.

Take a stand and stick with it.  Perhaps if you ask nicely, I'll duct tape you to a broomstick to help you stand up for something ;)

Now shaddup and stop with all the politcal posts - you're ruining a perfectly nice and peaceful hobby forum ;) ;D

Oh, and thanks for all your comments on the American election.  I voted for you, since you/re Canadian and weren't able to - our President thanks you for your support ;D

He had Edwards come out and say, we wont stop until every vote is counted.

The next day he stopped.

His best flip flop, was his last.

Canada is similar to the northern states.  So there's lots of people that enjoy winter sports.

My post above wasn;t about political issues.    If you read the post above my comment, mr.Curmudgeon  said "The political threads will slowly die out, I imagine.

Then we started talking about poutine and banff... how is that political?

You SERIOUSLY can't see how those 4 things are political?  If not, mebbe you should consider talking about abortion or religion, as I'm sure you'll think those aren't political either  ::)

I can't believe that you HONESTLY think gay marriage (on our ballots to vote upon), stem cell research (another hotly debated political item on these boards), prescription drugs (ANOTHER hotly debated - as in -YOUR GOVERNMENT PAYS TO KEEP THEM CHEAP FOR YOU, and "free" healthcare (see above, specificaly YOUR GOVERNMENT PAYS TO KEEP THEM FREE FOR YOU), and the legality of drugs are not political items, in fact, your drug thing specifically notes how it's now a federal issue - somehow that's NOT political?

If you have an intellectually honest bone in your body, you'll not be wondering yet again how your post was political - or you may want to start wearing a helmet when leaving the house  ;)
