Title: WG K7400 + ArcadeVGA question
Post by: Thread Killer on November 02, 2004, 02:22:03 pm
How does the ArcadeVGA card interface with the Wells Gardner K7400 CGA monitor? Is it plug-and-play, or are accessories (such as the VGA Breakout Cable or the Video Amplifier) needed?

its a CGA so you need 6 connection RGB H/V Syncs Ground.

When you get AVGA card, it won't be simply PLUG and PRAY.
The cable that comes with AVGA card is a standard VGA cable. You need to make a VGA/Cable hack or to make it simplier, get the Video AMP too.

I do have some VGA/Cable hack for $6.00 shipped in USA.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I guess it's better than a new one.

I plan on using the K7400 along with the ARCADE VGA card and was wondering what breakout cable is suitable. I think this one would be my best bet. http://www.ultimarc.com/JShopServer/product.php?xProd=4&xSec=2
Also it says no isolation transformer required but does the monitor plug into a regular wall outlet or does it still go through a power supply? Thanks for your input I am by no means rich and I want to make sure what I'm buying will work.
